Barge Name: FANDANGO - sister ship of Tango
Barge History:
  • Built in 1939, specifically for the Canal du Midi.
  • 1970, became a show barge for Provencal tiles and l’Occitane bath products.
  • Converted in to luxury holiday vessel by Hazel Young in 1998.

  • 3, all with en-suite bathrooms.
  • 1 bedroom is a fixed double, whilst the other 2 can be made up as doubles or twins.

Hazel Young, the owner, was British born, educated in America, and has been resident in France for 30 years. She is one of the great characters of the barging world, and you will be entertained with her vibrant charisma, as well as her knowledge of food and the area. She has many anecdotes, and stories to tell, and she runs an efficient barge, with great service and attention to detail. The barge is very comfortable, and quite exotic in its decor! This is an excellent barge for those of you who like to meet new people, and maybe gain a few culinary hints from Hazel in the open kitchen.
